Screen Nation Award 2014

What is the Screen Nation Awards did you ask? Take a journey with Eldimaa Fashion's very own fashion administrator Rebecca Osewa who represented the brand and indeed The Screen Nation Award which took place on 23rd February 2014 in Central London. 

The Screen Nation Award celebrates, rewards, promotes and market professionals of African/Caribbean heritage working in the UK and global film, television/digital media industries.

Rebecca had the delightful duty of welcoming the very best actors and celebrities on our screens today including Eastenders Khali Best, Jimmy Akingbola of Holby City, Comedian Ali Baba, Alex Ekubo, Caroline Chikezie and many more

Naomie Harris won best female actress for her portrayal of Minne Mandela in the 2013 movie Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom. 

Alex Ekubo and Lupita Nyongo won emerging Screen Talent awards

Nollywood movie of the year went to "Flower Girl". 

It was an inspiration to see people of Afro-Caribbean heritage achieving international recognition in Britain and abroad.

Screen Nation Awards will be aired on 2nd march on Vox Africa (Sky 218).

Catwalk for Change

I am super excited that Eldimaa Fashion was cherry picked by the talented stylist Brenda C to take part in Catwalk for change in association with Mind (Mental health charity) and Macmillan Cancer Support

The show embraces diversity and will showcase talented designers who are influence by Japanese, Indian, African and European cultures.

The fashion show is a VIP celebrity affair with tickets already sold out! Catwalk for Change will be held at The Waterlilly, Mile End Road. London this Friday September 6th 2013.

Africa Fashion Week London AFWL 2013

Eldimaa Fashion launched its new #AfroGlamPunk look at Africa Fashion Week London with my minimi on the runway.

I wanted to do something different and see ow people react to it. My whole idea was to push African print beyond what is expected or what people are used to seeing.

I mixed leather, denim, sequence, lace and jersey stretch fabric which was well received last year.

My 1st Youtube Video! Ankara Street Style

Hey all.

Its been a while since I blogged so I thought I will show you what I've been up to....... SO.... I made my first Youtube video. I have always thought it will be a great idea to show people how to wear African print on a daily basis to any event and not just special occasions like weddings, birthdays, churches or African parties. It's London fashion week! A time for inspiration and creativity.

We are looking forward to seeing more of New York-based jewelry designer Assad Mounser. She makes beautiful jewelry and the blend of colors are absolutely astonishing.
